This initiative, alongside our Hook into Books campaign, aims to: This partnership directly connects with LWB's Education strategic intentions to equip children and young people in care with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive. This can profoundly impact their educational attainment, future employment prospects, and overall life outcomes. Research shows that children in foster care are significantly more likely to experience difficulties with reading and literacy compared to their peers. The importance of reading and literacy for children in care cannot be overstated. They will kindly donate a book to each of our children in our Out-of-Home Care programs on their birthday in an initiative we are calling a Book for Your Birthday. Tim Jarvis and the team at Fuller's are on a mission to promote literacy and the love of reading in our community.
